Description
Lots of plating wear around the hand hold positions and evidence of a previous bell dent repair but this does not detract from the magical way this instrument plays. It positively sings! The tone is rich and warm and it is very free blowing. The valves are positive and slides very slick. Although it resembles the Shilke in design it has the addition of first and third valve triggers. There is an old Kosikup mouthpiece in the box that just seem to work perfectly with this cornet. The case is the older wooden style but is still serviceable. If you are looking for a professional level instrument but are on a budget or indeed a Bb player venturing to Eb for the first time this is definitely worth consideration.
